PHAIDRA Systems

Share - Archive - Visualize

From sharing the data ...

Research processes require a different handling of digital objects. At the beginning, data is generated, collected and usually only made available to a smaller user group. This requires a possibility to securely archive objects and make them accessible to a particular group of people. Some of the data may be deleted.

... about publishing results

In a further step, possibly published publications can be uploaded in u: scholar, the institutional repository, a docked application of PHAIDRA, and are long-archived in PHAIDRA.

... up to the visualization of the data

If the research results are to be presented in lectures, the possibility is unlikely, especially in the field of digital humanities. There are functionalities such as a double projection available.

And long-term archiving and reuse

At the end of the research process, the digital objects (images, texts, videofiles, audio documents, ...) are archived in PHAIDRA, where they are given a permanent link (eg handle), are provided with metadata (Dublin Core and extended LOM scheme) and licenses And so prepared for the after-use.
